OCTINOXATE also known as Octyl Methoxycinnamate and ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, is the oldest and most common sunscreen actively used to protect skin, primarily against UVB rays. It absorbs UVB radiation (at wavelengths: 280-320 nm) with a peak protection at 310nm.
